Mission
Incentia Design Systems, Inc. offers advanced timing and synthesis solutions to companies designing complex integrated circuits and systems-on-chip (SoC). Through its patented technologies, Incentia's products aim at overcoming the ever-growing stringent design requirements in runtime, capacity, and performance and hence greatly shorten the total design turnaround time.

Background
Incentia Design Systems, Inc. was founded by Dr. Ihao Chen, Dr. Xuequn Xiang, and Dr. Shing-Chong Chang, to address the increasing design complexity and challenges in timing analysis and synthesis. Since then, it has built a world-class RD team that delivers breakthrough technologies in timing analysis, synthesis, and low power optimization. Incentia is currently privately held, with direct offices in Santa Clara, California and Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan. It has also set up sales channels through distributors in Japan, China, India, Korea, and Israel.

Markets and Customers
As chip size continues to increase and process technology continues to shrink, the EDA tools must be renovated to keep up with the pace of the increasing design complexity. From the design implementation side, a capable design synthesis tool needs to address design capacity, turnaround time, and produce a layout-friendly netlist by simultaneously considering multiple constraints, such as area, power, and timing. From the timing analysis side, a fast, accurate, and complete timing solution must be available to address static timing signoff, timing debugging and constraint management.

Incentia offers advanced tools in timing and synthesis that effectively address the challenges in runtime, capacity, and performance. Incentia's timing products provide a complete offering for timing analysis, debugging, and constraint management, with comprehensive features, sign-off quality accuracy, and fast turnaround time. Using the same timing technology as the base, Incentia also offers a complete synthesis solution that delivers the greatest reduction in chip area, power consumption, while meeting timing constraints.

Incentia products have been used commercially since 2000. Incentia's customers span from startup design houses to leading international corporations in semiconductor, fabless IC design, systems, and design service areas. Through the use of Incentia's products, customers have successfully taped out numerous chips in different design applications, such as networking, communications, wireless, consumer electronics, multi-media, and chipsets.
